Must choose 120 credits for the year

To complete the programme students must take 120 taught credits in Year 1.
In Year 2 students must submit either:
A written thesis of up to 40,000 words
OR a combination of written and practical research outputs in sacred music comprising of a practical research element that will usually take the form of a composition portfolio (of around 45 mins in length) or a performance (or around 45 mins in length) AND a written critical exegesis of 8,000-10,000 words which explores the research implications of the practical work and its research questions and context.
With the permission of the programme coordinator, a supervisor and student may vary the relative weight of written and non-written components.
