The general requirements are 480 credits over a period of normally four years (and not more than five years) or part-time equivalent, of which the final two years form an approved Honours programme of 240 credits, of which 90 credits are at 4000 or 5000 level and at least a further 120 credits at 3000 and/or 4000 or 5000 levels.

For recognition by the British Psychological Society, at least 130 credits must be taken across 3rd Year and 4th Year, including passes in the following modules: (PS3021 or PS3023 or PS3025), (PS3022 or PS3024 or PS4026), PS3031, PS3032, PS3033, PS3034, (PS3035 or PS3036 or PN3313), (PS3037 or PS3038) and (PS4050 or PS4055 or PS4056 or PS4299 or PS4796 or PS4797).
