Students who do not meet the requirements for automatic entry to Honours in an Integrated Masters programme may be eligible for automatic or qualified entry to Honours in a related BSc programme.

Over Fourth and Fifth years at least 30 credits from MT5000-MT5899, ID5059 must be obtained.

Further credits if necessary to a total of at least 135 across Third, Fourth and Fifth Years from 3000- , 4000- and 5000-level PH and AS modules (except that 15 further credits from a physics-based ID4001 may be substituted).

Further credits if necessary to a total of at least 135 across Third, Fourth and Fifth Years from 3000-, 4000- and 5000-level MT modules and ID5059 (except that 15 further credits from a mathematics-based ID4001 may be substituted).

With permission of the Adviser of Studies and any other School involved 30 credits in Third or Fourth Year may be substituted by credits from another Level or School

In total, at least 330 credits must be achieved at 3000-, 4000- and 5000-level with at least 120 of these at 5000 level.

Study abroad

In the case of students who spend part of the Honours programme on a recognised Study Abroad scheme, the Programme Requirements will be amended to take into account overseas courses which are approved by the relevant St Andrews School in the Learning Agreement (see www.st-andrews.ac.uk/students/study-abroad/academic ).
